Muhammad Ali is widely regarded by many boxing commentators and historians as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. 

Boxing magazine The Ring named him number 1 in a 1998 ranking of greatest heavyweights from all eras.

Cassius Clay, wildly known as Muhammad Ali was born on January 17th, 1942, in Louisville, is considered as one of the great heavyweight boxers of all time if not the best, he has fought 61 fights in his career and has won 55 of them and 35 of those being a knockout. 

His speed was the one thing he was most famous for, he would punch an opponent in a matter of milliseconds and had reflexes like never seen before, he would dance around the ring, entertaining the crowd, and talk trash to his opponents, he was a true showman and did it all while dominating his in the ring.

He is a one-time gold medalist in the Olympics, he was the world heavyweight champion from 1964 to 1967, and in 1974 he was recognized as a Fighter of the Year by the boxing writers association.

He was again the World heavyweight champion from 1974 to 1978 and then from 1978-79,  he was inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in 1990, these are just his boxing records, but what he has done off the court is also why he is wildly known as the greatest sportsman in the history of American sports.

1) Muhammad Ali defeats Henry Cooper

On June 18, 1963, Muhammad Ali defeated English boxer Henry Cooper via 5th round TKO. Ali was 21 years old with a record of 19-0 (15 KOs). Cooper was 29 years old with a record of 27-8-1 (18 KOs). The performance in this fight is the number one among all of Ali's fights.

2) Muhammad Ali defeats Sonny Liston in their 2nd fight

On May 25, 1965, Muhammad Ali defeated Sonny Liston in the rematch via 1st round KO. Ali was 23 years old with a record of 21-0 (17 KOs). 

Liston was 33 years old with a record of 35-2 (25 KOs). Ali successfully defended his WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles. This fight is the second-best performance in Ali's career.

3) Muhammad Ali defeats Archie Moore

On November 15, 1962, Muhammad Ali defeated Archie Moore via 4th round TKO. Ali was 20 years old with a record of 16-0 (13 KOs). Moore was 48 years old with a record of 185-22-10 (131 KOs).

On February 25, 1964, Muhammad Ali defeated Sonny Liston via 6th round RTD. Ali was 22 years old with a record of 20-0 (16 KOs). Liston was 31 years old with a record of 35-1 (25 KOs). 

Ali won the WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles — his first world titles.

On October 30, 1974, Muhammad Ali defeated George Foreman via 8th round KO. Ali was 32 years old with a record of 45-2 (32 KOs). Foreman was 25 years old with an undefeated record of 40-0 (37 KOs). Ali won the WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.

On September 15, 1978, Muhammad Ali defeated Leon Spinks in the rematch via 15 round unanimous decision. Ali was 36 years old with a record of 56-3 (37 KOs). 

Spinks was 25 years old with an undefeated record of 7-0-1 (5 KOs). Ali won the WBA and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.

On November 21, 1972, Muhammad Ali defeated Bob Foster via 8th round KO. Ali was 30 years old with a record of 40-1 (31 KOs). Foster was 30 years old with a record of 49-5 (42 KOs).

On February 6, 1967, Muhammad Ali defeated Ernie Terrell via 15 round unanimous decision. Ali was 25 years old with a record of 28-0 (22 KOs).

Cooper was 32 years old with a record of 33-11-1 (23 KOs). Ali successfully defended his WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.

On October 1, 1975, Muhammad Ali defeated Joe Frazier in their 3rd fight via 14th round RTD. Ali was 33 years old with a record of 49-2 (35 KOs). 

Frazier was 31 years old with a record of 32-2 (27 KOs). Ali successfully defended his WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.
