Rohit Sharma the top-order right hand batsman of Indian team. He is basically from Nagpur City. He was born on 30th April 1987 as the eldest son of Gurunath and Purnima Sharma.

Due to financial crisis of his family he spent his childhood with his grandfather. He has a keen interest in cricket from his childhood days.

Nobody observes his love and passion towards cricket. His uncle Manohar Sharma was the first person to take note of his interest in cricket. Thereafter he motivates him to play and learn cricket in a disciplined manner. Soon he enrolled him for coaching at the age of 11.

Rohit's confidence towards playing cricket arose high, without looking back to the unfavorable situations of his family he started playing. As day passed by Rohit's flow of bat became better and better.

Rohit’s impressive Ranji Trophy record brought him to ODI cricket in 2007. His outstanding performances at IPL also helped him find a permanent place in the team.
