Faf du Plessis creates history - Smashed one of the longest sixes in the history of the IPL.
Faf du Plessis, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), hit the longest six of IPL 2023 during their game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday, April 10 at the M Chinnaswany Stadium.
The episode occurred in the fifteenth over of RCB's innings. On the third ball of the over, Du Plessis went on strike. He hit a six over the cover area and then hit another big one that went 115 meters.
Going out of ideas against the rampant RCB batters, Bishnoi dropped a bit short of length, to which the Skipper was quick in opening up his hips, clearing his front leg, and pulling the ball high in the air and a long way in the distance. Forget about the six, the ball went over the Chinnaswamy roof. The crowd went into a frenzied state as Maxwell laughed with an expression of amazement.
Here are the longest sixes of IPL 2023 so far:
Faf du Plessis (RCB) - 115 meters - M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Shivam Dube (CSK) - 102 meters - M.A. Chidambaram Stadium
Rinku Singh (KKR) - 101 meters - Eden Gardens
Venkatesh Iyer (KKR) - 101 meters - Narendra Modi Stadium
