Why did Al-Nassr sign with a clause allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to join Newcastle for the 2023/24 season?

Cristiano Ronaldo completed his move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr on Friday, 30 December, after mutually agreeing to end his contract with Manchester United in November 2022, with the deal worth an astonishing £500,000 per year 173 million deal was done.
There is a clause that would allow Ronaldo to return to the Premier League next season, specifically with Newcastle United, if the Magpies qualify for the Champions League.
In fact, before joining Al-Nasr, Ronaldo had preferred to move to a side still in the Champions League, but his wage demands meant that the move did not materialise. A return to Sporting Lisbon, his first club, seemed logical, but they remain in the Europa League for the second half of the season.
