Poverty Can't Resist The Talent Of A 16-year-old Athlete.

Lokesh Kumar, a Delhi based guy is evolving like a star in the athletics field.

He is a boy of class 10 in Sarvodaya Co-Ed Vidyalaya in RK Puram, Delhi. This 16-year-old boy is one of the India's shining star in the sports arena.

He belongs from a poor family with lots of crisis. His father (Jangjeet Singh) is a daily wager. He is a cycle rickshaw puller while his mother (Pushpa Devi) is a housewife and usually works in others houses to run her family comfortably.

Lokesh is basically from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Back in his village in Aligarh, he used to participate in various sporting events. He used to observe other athletes how they perform and get trained.

His main inspirations are late Palinder Chaudhary from his village and Neeraj Chopra.

"I watched the late Palinder Chaudhary from my village win a gold medal for India in the Asian Youth Championship in Bangkok 2017, and I felt inspired to do the same," says Lokesh.

Further shared his joy watching Neeraj Chopra wining a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Lokesh exclaimed that "I am a state champion. I have won a gold medal in the 80th Annual Delhi State Championship 2021 in the 300m race and a silver medal in the 100m race. In 2019, I won a gold medal in the 600m race at the 79th Annual Delhi State Championship and a silver in the 100m race."
