Babar Azam revealed two Indians in his list of favourite batsmen from the ODI World Cup 2023 squads.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is known worldwide as one of the cricketing greats, consistently dominating the scoreboard in limited-overs cricket.

He has consistently been among the top run-scorers in limited-overs cricket and has been a key player for Pakistan in international competitions.

Babar, a pivotal player in Pakistan’s batting lineup, has disclosed his admiration for three prominent contemporary batters.

The 29-year-old cricket sensation’s favorites include two Indian icons and a New Zealand legend.

Despite the intense rivalry between India and Pakistan in the world of cricket, he openly expressed his admiration for three world-class batters, naming Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Kane Williamson as his favourites.

“Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Kane Williamson are my favorite batters in the world. They’re the top players in the world. They read the conditions well, that’s why they are the best. I admire them,” said Babar.

Both Indian batters are on the list of the most runs scored in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 with Kohli amassing 354 runs in 5 innings and Rohit scoring 311 runs in the same number of innings as well.

Apart from these two batters, New Zealand's Kane Williamson also featured in Babar's list. Williamson, with his calm and cool composure, has been a fan favourite for many years.

Babar also highlighted his appreciation for how these three stalwarts consistently rescue their teams from challenging situations and score against formidable bowling lineups.

He acknowledges the way Rohit, Kohli, and Williamson perform under pressure and aims to draw inspiration from their approach.

“The best thing I like about Virat, Rohit, and Kane is how they get the team out of difficult situations and score runs against tough bowling. This is what I try to learn from them,” added Babar.
