With 100 days to go for the 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup, the best hockey players in men’s hockey gear up to converge in Bhubaneshwar and Rourkela. Hosts India, who won the silver at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, hope to retain their top form in their campaign to win the coveted world title. According to captain Manpreet Singh, with 100 days to go, the excitement is palpable, and the squad have been training hard.

Newly elected Hockey India president DilipTirkey has also acknowledged the honour that hosting the World Cup represents for India. Team India is set to take on Spain in their first match, which will be held at the Birsa Munda stadium in Rourkela.
