Mitchell Starc: IPL's Record-Breaking Signing

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has become the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for ₹24.75 crore at the auction in Dubai on Tuesday.

Starc has now left behind his skipper Pat Cummins, who was earlier the most expensive player in IPL history with ₹20.50 crore and was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

At 33 years old, Starc is set to make a comeback to the IPL after an eight-year hiatus, having previously been part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.

On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh still holds the record for the most expensive Indian player at Rs 16 crore, when he was sold to Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2015.
