Lewis Hamilton believes he is done for the season

The seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who has won at least one race every season throughout his career which started in 2007, is likely to end the current season without a win, by his own admission.

There are 3 races left, and according to the British driver, it may be difficult to grab the winning spot from Red Bull. Hamilton was close to a win at the US Grand Prix, after overtaking Verstappen who lost 11 seconds due to a faulty pit stop. However, the Red Bull driver was able to catch up toFerrari’s Leclerc, and finally Hamilton too, to win the race and demonstrate conclusively to all, the superior cars and tyres that Red Bull now possesses.

The next three races are to take place in Mexico City, Brazil, and Abu Dhabi.According to Hamilton, unless there are any drastic changes, Red Bull are expected to emerge victorious in all three as they have had the fastest cars all season, and while he had enjoyed leading the US Grand Prix and was in a fighting position to win, taking on Red Bull this season is unrealistic. Verstappen had been stationery for eleven seconds, which had placed him behind both Leclerc and Hamilton.

The current F1 champion was nevertheless able to catch up, and overtake Leclerc while shaving off six seconds, and finally ending the race three seconds ahead of Hamilton, according to whom the feat demonstrates some “serious speed”.
