After a convincing 4-1 win over Australia in the recently concluded T20I series, Team India will now take on South Africa in a comprehensive series that will start on Sunday (10 December).
India on the tour of South Africa will take part in all three formats, starting with the T20Is.
After the T20I series, the focus will shift to the 50-over format. After Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is, KL Rahul will lead the side in ODIs as both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have not been picked for the white-ball assignments.
The tour will end with a two-match Test series – this will mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Senior pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are also making a comeback for the red-ball format, and the series is anticipated to be closely contested, given the challenges posed by the South African conditions.
