West Ham United have signed Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo on a season-long loan, with an obligation to buy him for £34.22 million (€40 million) in 2025.

Julen Lopetegui's West Ham beat out Juventus to sign 24-year-old French defender Jean-Clair Todibo, who has two senior caps for France.

Todibo expressed his excitement, saying, "It is a dream come true to play in the Premier League, the best league in the world."

BBC Sport reports that West Ham has also reached an agreement to sign Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka to strengthen their defense further.

The 26-year-old full-back, left out of United's squad for the Community Shield against Manchester City, will undergo a medical with West Ham on Sunday.

Todibo, who started at Toulouse, joined Barcelona in 2019 and had loan spells with Schalke and Benfica before moving to Nice permanently in 2021.
