Pat Brown has confirmed his move to Derbyshire from Worcestershire.
County Cricket Club, Derbyshire is delighted to announce the completion of signing seamer, Pat Brown from Worcestershire.
The tricky seamer, Pat Brown agreed with the personal terms and has signed a three-year contract with Derbyshire.
Brown's contract runs out this summer and he becomes the third player to depart Worcestershire this season after the duo of Josh Tongue and Dillon Pennington confirmed their move to Nottinghamshire.
The 24-year-old played for England in 2019 as a reward for the remarkable T20 Blast form.
He scalped 24 wickets in this year's campaign as Worcestershire reached the quarter-finals for the first time since finishing as runners-up four years ago.
Brown, who has not made a first-class appearance since 2018 but has signed an all-format deal at Derbyshire, initially joined Worcestershire after being spotted at a pace-bowling open day.
Brown’s notable achievements include claiming 31 wickets, playing an instrumental role in Worcestershire Rapids’ triumph in the 2018 Vitality Blast.
Ashley Giles, Worcestershire’s Chief Executive, remarked, “Pat made an enormous contribution to Worcestershire’s victory in the Vitality Blast five years ago, and that will forever be etched in our supporters’ memories.
“We extend our sincerest best wishes to Pat as he embarks on his future endeavours.”
