Al Nassr has signed Spain defender Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City for 27.5m euros (£23.6m).
Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr is extremely delighted to announce the completion of signing Spain defender Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City for 27.5m euros (£23.6m) in the final stretch of this year's summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old defender struggled for minutes at Manchester City last season, making only 12 Premier League appearances, and was not included in the squad for Saturday's 1-0 victory over Newcastle.
Aymeric Laporte made 180 appearances for City but left the club after completing a permanent move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
After his departure, Laporte said: "I am proud to have represented Manchester City over the last six seasons."
Al Nassr have already signed Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, Otavio and Alex Telles amid the Saudi Pro League’s summer of big spending. They also brought in Cristiano Ronaldo last December following his exit from Manchester United.
