Leander Dendoncker Completes Season-Long Loan Move from Aston Villa to Napoli.
Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker has signed a loan deal with Italian club Napoli, where he will play for the rest of the 2023-24 season.
The 28-year-old Leander Dendoncker, who made eight appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League this season, has joined Napoli on loan. Seven of his appearances were as a substitute.
The Belgium international arrived at Villa from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £13m in September 2022, making a total of 36 appearances for the club.
Dendoncker scored his only goal in a rare Premier League start last month against Manchester United.
This move follows the permanent departure of midfielder Finn Azaz to Middlesbrough from Villa in the January transfer window.
Villa's manager Unai Emery also secured defender Kosta Nedeljkovic from Red Star Belgrade this week, with the 18-year-old staying with the Serbian club for the rest of the season.
As for Napoli, currently ninth in Serie A, they secured their first Scudetto in 33 years last season.
