Arsenal Secures Short-Term Deal with Former French Star Sarah Bouhaddi.
Arsenal recently finalized a short-term deal with former French goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi.
The 37-year-old Sarah Bouhaddi, a former free agent who played with Paris St-Germain last season, has joined Arsenal on a short-term deal.
With 13 years at Lyon, she boasts an impressive record, contributing to 11 league titles, eight French Cups, and eight UEFA Women's Champions League victories.
Expressing her excitement, Bouhaddi said, "I'm delighted to become part of this great club with so much history in both men's and women's teams. I've always admired the club and look forward to bringing my experience to help the squad."
Having earned 149 international caps for France, Bouhaddi is the country's most-capped goalkeeper. She was also part of the squad that won the SheBelieves Cup in 2017.
Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall sought cover for the goalkeeper position due to Sabrina D'Angelo's absence at the Concacaf W Gold Cup.
This signing follows the arrival of USA defender Emily Fox, who made an impressive Women's Super League debut against Liverpool on Sunday.
