Brighton Midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud Joins Stuttgart on Loan.
Brighton midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has embarked on a loan move to Stuttgart, where he will be playing for the remainder of the season.
Germany international midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, 28, has joined Stuttgart on loan for the rest of the season.
Since signing a four-year deal with Brighton in July following the expiration of his contract with Borussia Dortmund, Dahoud has only started six Premier League games.
Brighton's technical director, David Weir, sees this move as a positive step for Dahoud, providing him with the opportunity to play regularly for a team performing well in the top tier of the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart currently holds the third position in the German league, trailing leaders Bayer Leverkusen by 12 points, while Brighton sits eighth in the Premier League.
Dahoud's last appearance for Brighton was in a 1-1 draw against Burnley on 9 December. It's worth noting that another Brighton player, striker Deniz Undav, is also on loan at Stuttgart and has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season.
