Guglielmo Vicario confirmed his move to Tottenham from Empoli.
Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to announce the completion of signing Italy international Guglielmo Vicario from Serie A side Empoli for a reported transfer fee of £17.2m (€20 million).
Italian goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario agreed with the terms and has signed a five-year contract with Tottenham.
The 26-year-old has been given the no.13 squad number by Tottenham but he may become the club's first-choice keeper.
The Italian goalkeeper represents the first new face added to Ange Postecoglou’s squad since the manager’s arrival from Celtic earlier in the summer, following a permanent deal for Juventus loanee Dejan Kulusevski after his initial 18-month stint.
The 26-year-old, Guglielmo Vicario was one of the standout goalkeepers in Serie A this season, keeping seven clean sheets and managing 95 saves across the campaign. He has also impressed with his abilities on the ball, comfortable playing out from the back.
