Michael van Vuuren confirmed his move to Newcastle Falcons after impressive stints at Wasps, Bath & Leicester Tigers.
Newcastle Falcons have boosted their front-row ranks by signing experienced hooker Michael van Vuuren on a one-season deal.
The 31-year-old, Michael van joined the Falcons from South African side Emirates Lions, for whom he played last season in the United Rugby Championship and EPCR Challenge Cup.
English-qualified Van Vuuren boasts Premiership experience from his time playing for Wasps, Bath, Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers, also spending a season in Paris with Stade Francais.
Falcons head coach Alex Codling said: "He brings a lot of experience and he is one of those players who helps glue a team together, and his set-piece work is really strong."
Previously Michael van Vuuren and Alex Codling have worked together at Championship side Ealing.
