Everton Secures Napoli Midfielder Lindstrom on Loan.
Everton have brought in Napoli’s Jesper Lindstrom on a season-long loan, adding a fresh spark to their midfield.
The 24-year-old's loan deal with Everton comes with an option to make the move permanent.
Lindstrom, a Denmark international with 16 caps, made a solid impact at Napoli last season, featuring in 29 matches after his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
"It's incredible to join Everton," Lindstrom shared with evertontv. "This club has a rich history, a great stadium, and excellent facilities. I’m thrilled to be here and feel it’s a great match for me.
"I've talked with the manager, and he seems to appreciate my style of play and believes my speed will benefit the team. Now, I’m eager to prove myself.
"I value the trust from the coach and my teammates. I’m ready to show I can make a difference."
Lindstrom, who starred in Eintracht Frankfurt's Europa League final win over Rangers in 2022, netted 12 goals in 57 Bundesliga appearances before his Italian move.
Although he struggled to make an impact at Napoli and had limited game time toward the end of last season, he’s eager to turn things around.
"I’ve played at the international level and in both the Champions League and Europa League," Lindstrom said. "I feel ready and excited to contribute to the team. I want to prove myself to the fans and show I belong here.
"This season is about getting back on track, and I believe Everton is the perfect place for me to demonstrate my worth and why I deserve to stay."
