Albania midfielder Ylber Ramadani confirmed his departure from Aberdeen to join Serie A side Lecce.
Serie A side Lecce is extremely delighted to announce the completion of signing Albania midfielder Ylber Ramadani from Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee.
While the fee was officially undisclosed, it's believed to be in the region of £1.1m - with a 10% sell on.
The Albanian International moved to the Dons last summer from Hungarian side MTK Budapest and made an instant impact becoming an integral part of the team that secured third sport and group stage European football.
The midfielder, whose passionate displays made him a fans’ favorite, made 44 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring on one occasion.
The midfielder was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 3-2 friendly win at Charlton Athletic and threw his strip to the Dons supporters at full-time.
Ramadani is expected to undergo a medical in Italy when the deal could be finalized.
His high-energy, impressive style has made him a popular figure among the Dons support.
Ramadani made it clear to the Dons that he was desperate to make the move to Italy. Hellas Verona had also been linked with a move for the Dons player.
Ramadani’s imminent departure comes as the Dons close in on their ninth signing of the summer.
Left-back James McGarry, who has been capped by New Zealand, is close to joining the Dons on a permanent deal from Central Coast Mariners.
