Nottingham Forest has secured the services of Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels from Strasbourg in the French Ligue 1, completing the transfer for a fee of approximately £5 million.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, Matz Sels, has inked a three-and-a-half-year contract with Nottingham Forest, marking his return to England. Sels previously played for Newcastle from 2016 to 2018.

This move comes as Nottingham Forest's second signing on transfer deadline day, with Portuguese striker Rodrigo Ribeiro also joining on loan from Sporting Lisbon.

Additionally, United States midfielder Giovanni Reyna arrived on loan from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the week.

Sels, who served as Strasbourg's main goalkeeper, featured in 19 matches for the French side this season.
