Tottenham Secures 17-Year-Old Moore on First Professional Contract.
Tottenham have secured their teenage prospect Mikey Moore with his first professional contract.
Spurs announced that Mikey Moore, the highly-rated winger, signed his first professional contract the day after his 17th birthday, when he became eligible.
Due to FIFA rules, under-18 players can only sign a maximum three-year contract, but Moore’s deal reflects his status as one of the brightest talents to come out of Tottenham's academy in recent years.
Moore made history as Tottenham’s youngest-ever player when he debuted against Manchester City on May 14, a performance that drew attention from rival clubs. Since then, he has made another substitute appearance and played a key role in Ange Postecoglou's pre-season tour in South Korea and Japan.
Reflecting on Moore's progress, Postecoglou remarked, "It's incredible that he's only just turned 17."
