Fabinho confirmed his move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad from Liverpool.
Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad is delighted to announce the completion of signing Brazil midfielder Fabinho from Liverpool in this summer transfer window.
Brazil international Fabinho agreed with the terms and has signed a three-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club.
The Brazilian becomes the second Liverpool player to move to Saudi Arabia following Jordan Henderson's switch to Al-Ettifaq.
Financial details were not disclosed, but British media reported the Saudi Pro League champions paid £40 million ($51.33 million) for the 29-year-old.
Fabinho will join Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema and former Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante at the Jeddah-based club.
The tricky midfielder joined Liverpool from Monaco in 2018 and enjoyed a glittering career on Merseyside, winning the Champions League and Premier League titles, plus the FA Cup and the Club World Cup.
He made a total of 49 appearances last season for the Reds, enduring a challenging campaign from a personal perspective, and featured a total of 219 times for the club during his five-year stay.
The Saudi Pro League has become an attractive destination for high-profile players since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr last January in a deal reported to be worth around $220 million per year.
