Atalanta agreed £72m deal with Manchester United for their striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Atalanta has officially confirmed the departure of their renowned striker Rasmus Hojlund after agreeing a £72m deal with Manchester United.
The 20-year-old tricky striker, Rasmus Hojlund is set to move to Old Trafford for an initial transfer fee of £64m, plus a possible further £8m in performance-related add-ons.
Denmark international Hojlund will sign a five-year contract with United that will include the option to extend it by an extra year until June 2029.
United have now spent £162.9m in up-front fees for Hojlund, Andre Onana and Mason Mount this summer. With add-ons, they have invested £179.2m.
Hojlund becomes United's third signing of the summer, after midfielder Mason Mount and goalkeeper Andre Onana and is hoping to make his United debut at Old Trafford, in a friendly against French side Lens next Saturday and will be available for the start of the new season.
Hojlund managed just nine goals in Serie A last season, but Ten Hag believes he can develop the raw young forward into a world-class striker and prolific goalscorer under his coaching guidance.
