American forward Mia Fishel confirmed her move to WSL champions Chelsea.
Women's Super League champions Chelsea Women are extremely delighted to announce the completion of signing American forward Mia Fishel from Mexican club Tigres in this summer transfer window.
American forward Mia Fishel agreed with the terms and has signed a three-year contract with the WSL champions side. The signed deal worth $250,000 (£196,000) over her contract period.
Fishel has become the eighth major summer signing for Chelsea, as Emma Hayes bid to build a squad to win the Champions League for the first time.
Chelsea have signed Fishel to strengthen their forward line following the departure of Pernille Harder to Bayern Munich, who was the most expensive striker signing in the history of the women’s team.
Chelsea has already signed Catalina Macario, Ashley Lawrence, and Sjoeke Nusken this summer and are part of a huge recruitment drive.
California-born Fishel joined the Mexican club Tigres in January 2022, helping them to the Liga MX Femenil title in her first season while at the same time finishing as the league's top scorer.
The striker has also represented her country 28 times at the youth international level, winning the Golden Ball at the Under-20 CONCACAF Championship in 2020.
