AS Monaco has signed Mohammed Salisu from Southampton.
French side AS Monaco is delighted to announce the completion of signing Ghana international, Mohammed Salisu from Southampton.
The 24-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 side after a deal was agreed between the two clubs over the weekend.
Salisu was not included in the Southampton squad for their pre-season friendlies against AZ Alkmaar on Saturday or Bournemouth last Tuesday.
In his time with Saints, Salisu – who moved to the club in 2020 from Spanish side Real Valladolid – made 80 appearances and scored once.
Saints are expected to receive a figure reaching up to 20 million Euros for the Ghanaian international - around £17 million.
Salisu did not play any role in the final 10 games of last season, as Saints were relegated from the Premier League, but has featured for new boss Russell Martin twice in pre-season.
Salisu made his last appearance for Southampton in March. He was left out towards the end of the season due to issues with his commitment and application in working back from injury.
The Ghana international featured 22 times in the Premier League during 2022-23.
