Loan Move Sealed: Liverpool's Nat Phillips Heads to Cardiff City.
Liverpool's Nat Phillips is set to join Cardiff City on loan for the remainder of the season.
At 26, Nat Phillips becomes Cardiff City's first signing under manager Erol Bulut this January.
Despite interest from Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United, the English center-back has opted for a loan move to Cardiff.
Phillips, a member of Jurgen Klopp's squad since 2018, has 19 league appearances and one goal for Liverpool.
He spent two loan spells at VfB Stuttgart and played a crucial role in Bournemouth's Championship promotion last season.
This season, Nat Phillips has been on loan at Scottish champions Celtic, participating in eight games, including a notable match against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Phillips also gained valuable Champions League experience at Liverpool, enduring a cheekbone fracture during a game against AC Milan.
Cardiff's primary center-back duo for the season has been Greek international Dimitri Goutas and former Arsenal defender Mark McGuinness.
However, the early return of Nottingham Forest loanee Jonathan Panzo in the January window created a gap, making the acquisition of a central defender a priority for the Bluebirds.
