Edin Dzeko confirmed to depart Inter Milan for Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce is delighted to announce the signing of star striker, Edin Dzeko from Inter Milan on a free transfer deal.
The 37-year-old veteran striker was set to become a free agent next week when his contract runs out at San Siro but the Turkish side has announced via their Social Media platforms that they have snapped up the Bosnian hitman subject to a medical.
Dzeko has signed a two-year deal with the Istanbul-based club, and his contract with Inter expires on June 30. The newly signed contract will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.
The veteran striker has scored 31 goals in 101 games since joining Inter from AS Roma in 2021, winning two Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup titles.
He also won Premier League and Bundesliga titles with Manchester City and Wolfsburg and has scored more than 300 goals in his club career.
Dzeko is the top scorer for his country with 64 goals in 129 appearances. He will be hoping to lead Fenerbahce to silverware in the coming seasons.
Dzeko will join fellow Premier League alumni such as Joshua King and Michy Batshuayi in Turkey’s largest city, as The Yellow Canaries seek to close the gap between themselves and bitter city rivals Galatasaray, who won last season’s Turkey Super Lig by eight clear points.
