Burnley confirmed to sign Dara O'Shea from West Brom for £7m.
West Brom has officially announced that Premier League new boys Burnley FC agreed to sign defender Dara O'Shea for a transfer fee believed to be £7m.
The 24-year-old will undergo a medical at Turf Moor as his eight-year spell with the Baggies comes to an end.
O’Shea’s deal at West Brom was to run until July 2025, but an agreement was reached to sign the Dubliner after the two clubs held advanced talks.
The move brings the number of Irish senior internationals currently at Burnley to three as O’Shea joins Josh Cullen and Micheal Obafemi at Vincent Kompany’s side, who won promotion back to the top flight last term after winning the Championship by 10 points.
He made 41 appearances in all competitions for West Brom last season and featured 28 times in the Premier League during the 2020-21 campaign.
The defender missed the final two months of the 2022-23 season with a knee injury but returned to action for the Republic of Ireland during their Euro 2024 qualifying victory over Gibraltar this month.
