Luton Town has secured former Swansea City midfielder Liam Walsh on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old Liam Walsh, a free agent after leaving Swansea earlier this summer, has been training at Kenilworth Road for the past three weeks.

Walsh started his career at Everton and had a stint at Bristol City from 2018 to 2021 before joining Swansea.

Luton manager Rob Edwards praised Walsh, saying, “Liam is a highly talented player with great vision and technical skills. I saw him at 16 with Everton and believed he’d become a standout player.”

Edwards added that while Walsh might not start immediately, he can contribute significantly by controlling the ball and delivering key passes.

Walsh previously helped Coventry City win the League One title during a loan spell in 2019-20 and has also played for Yeovil, Birmingham City, and Hull.
