Harvey Barnes confirmed his move to Newcastle from Leicester City for £38m.

Newcastle United is overwhelmed to announce the completion of signing England international, Harvey Barnes from Leicester City in this summer transfer.

Newcastle United has committed to pay a fee of around £38m to Leicester City for the renowned winger Harvey Barnes.

England winger Harvey Barnes agreed with the terms and has signed a five-year contract with the Magpies.

Barnes is Newcastle’s third signing of the summer, with Yankuba Minteh and Sandro Tonali also arriving at the club.

Barnes has expressed excitement about joining Newcastle, mentioning that it’s a massive opportunity for him to be a part of a successful team.

He is eager to contribute to Newcastle’s continued success, following their fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season. This achievement will see the team participating in the Champions League for the first time since the 2003-04 season in 2023-24.

Over his career, Barnes has made 146 Premier League appearances for Leicester, accumulating 35 goals and 25 assists. Despite his performance, he couldn’t prevent Leicester from being relegated to the Championship.

He helped Leicester win the FA Cup in 2021 and has earned one cap for England, coming on against Wales three years ago.
