Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta confirmed his move to Emirates Club in UAE.
United Arab Emirates Pro League side Emirates Club is extremely delighted to announce the completion of signing former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta following his certain departure from Japanese side Vissel Kobe last month.
Andres Iniesta will soon begin a new chapter of his remarkable career when the veteran Spanish midfielder plays his first match for Adnoc Pro League side Emirates Club.
Spain international, Andres Iniesta agreed with the terms and has signed a one-year contract with the Ras Al Khaimah club with the option of a further year extension.
The Spaniard may be 39 years old but is one of the greatest midfielders of his generation having won virtually every major trophy at club and international level.
Andres Iniesta left Japanese club Vissel Kobe in July after five years.
Iniesta won nine La Liga titles with Barcelona and four Champions League titles. With Spain, he won the 2010 World Cup and back-to-back Euro titles in 2008 and 2012.
After leaving Barcelona in 2018 he joined Vissel Kobe and led the club to their first title the following year, winning the Emperor’s Cup, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League in their first appearance in the continental competition.
