Sam Curtis Joins Sheffield United from St Patrick's Athletic.
Sheffield United has officially secured the signing of St Patrick's Athletic defender, Sam Curtis, in a deal with an undisclosed compensation fee.
The 18-year-old Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, Sam Curtis, has inked a contract with Sheffield United until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Having played 60 senior matches for St Pat's and securing the FAI Cup in 2021 and 2023, Curtis is seen as a promising talent for the future by manager Chris Wilder.
Wilder expressed his excitement, stating, "Sam is one for the future. We are looking forward to seeing how he progresses. We spoke about players that we were signing in January as potential starters, but Sam is different, and we could not turn down the opportunity to bring him to United."
Curtis made his League of Ireland debut in 2020 at the age of 14 for Shamrock Rovers' B team before joining the St Pat's set-up.
He said: "I ultimately made the decision to come here because I think the club is on the rise and, obviously, Chris Wilder is back in as manager which is good.
"You can see that the club love him, and all the players really respect him. I do think the club is on the up, you can see that in recent performances, it is getting better game-by-game."
