Roma resigned Diego Llorente from Leeds United on a season-long loan.
Roma FC is delighted to announce the resigning of defender Diego Llorente from Leeds United on a season-long loan.
Llorente, 29, spent the second half of last season with the Italian club, making 12 appearances in all competitions.
The Spain international moves on loan after Roma deemed the €18m option to buy included in his initial deal not representative of value for money.
The 29-year-old’s exit follows Robin Koch whose season-long loan switch to Eintracht Frankfurt was confirmed on Thursday evening.
Leeds will look to supplement their defensive options in the summer transfer window but have still retained club captain Liam Cooper, Max Wöber, Charlie Cresswell, and Pascal Struijk at center-half.
Leeds appointed former Celtic head of football operations Nick Hammond as interim football advisor last month and former Norwich boss Daniel Farke was installed as head coach earlier this week.
