Bethany England has confirmed her switch to Tottenham from Chelsea.
Tottenham Hot Spurs women's team are delighted to announce the signing of striker Bethany England from London rivals Chelsea for a reported British record fee for a player in the women's game.
Bethany England agreed with the terms and has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal in north London.
The transfer fee for the striker believed to be £250,000 which is a record for a player transferred between two WSL clubs.
The biggest fee paid for a women's player in world football was the reported £350,000 (€397,000) spent by Barcelona to sign midfielder
Keira Walsh from Manchester City in September.
The 28-year-old striker was a part of the England squad that won the European Championships last year. She has scored 11 goals in 21
appearances for the Lionesses.
England spent seven years at Chelsea, scoring 74 goals in 164 appearances and winning nine major trophies.
