Salford Snaps Up Huddersfield Midfielder Austerfield.
Josh Austerfield has signed a two-year contract with League Two side Salford City, making the move from Huddersfield Town.
The promising midfielder is set to bring fresh energy and skill to Salford's midfield as they aim for a strong season.
The 22-year-old midfielder Josh Austerfield has joined Salford City, becoming the latest addition under manager Karl Robinson. He completed his transfer just in time to play in Saturday’s match against Bradford City.
Austerfield began his career with Huddersfield Town in 2019, making six appearances before spending the last three seasons on loan at Harrogate Town, Morecambe, and Crewe Alexandra. He was part of the Crewe team that lost in the League Two play-off final to Crawley in May.
Austerfield expressed enthusiasm about his new role, saying, “The interest from Salford and knowing the gaffer and a few of the lads made the decision easy. It’s a great chance for me to showcase my abilities.”
