Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy confirmed to depart Chelsea after three years to join Al-Ahli.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli is delighted to announce the completion of signing Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Chelsea ahead of the new season.
After the transfer process, Edouard Mendy has become the latest Premier League star to be snapped up by a Saudi Arabian side.
Al-Ahli, who are making their return to the top-flight Pro League next season after a year in the second division, said Mendy's contract would run until 2026, without giving any financial details.
Mendy, 31, joined Chelsea from French team Rennes in 2020 and went on to win the Champions League in his first season at the club. The Senegal goalkeeper also lifted the Club World Cup the following year.
He made 105 appearances in all competitions but was pushed to the sidelines last season after Kepa Arrizabalaga established himself as first-choice goalie.
Mendy became the third Chelsea player to move to Saudi Arabia after Kante and compatriot Kalidou Koulibaly joined Al-Hilal.
