Callum Parkinson confirmed to sign a three-year deal with Durham.
County Club, Durham is delighted to announce the signing of spinner Callum Parkinson on a three-year deal from Leicestershire.
Parkinson joined Leicestershire from Derbyshire in 2017 and has gone on to take 234 wickets across all formats.
The 26-year-old spinner took his 100th wicket in T20 cricket during the win against Durham earlier this month.
Parkinson has taken 140 first-class wickets. In T20, he has 108 T20 wickets in 94 appearances, which includes playing for Northern Superchargers in the Hundred.
He was made Leicestershire's four-day captain last season but lost the job over the winter after refusing to sign a contract extension.
Parkinson claimed 50 wickets in total during the 2021 campaign – more than any other English spinner that summer.
Marcus North, Durham's director of cricket, added: "We are excited to have secured the signing of Callum Parkinson.
Callum is an experienced spinner on the domestic circuit and his arrival will enable us to continue to be effective in all conditions.
Callum is one of the best spinners in the country and is proven in both red and white-ball cricket."
