Luke Cowan-Dickie has confirmed his move to Sale Sharks from Exeter.
Premiership club Sale Sharks are delighted to announce the signing of England hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie from fellow Premiership club Exeter Chiefs ahead of the 2023-24 Gallagher Premiership season.
The 30-year-old, who played 165 times for the Chiefs and scored 41 tries after coming through the club’s academy, will join up with Alex Sanderson’s squad immediately after injury ruled him out of the upcoming World Cup.
Originally a loosehead prop, Luke made his professional debut for the Chiefs in 2011 in an Amlin Challenge Cup clash against Cavalieri Prato.
He made his debut for the Chiefs in 2011 and has since risen up the ranks in England, playing 41 times for his country that included the 2019 World Cup.
Cowan-Dickie was selected for the 2021 British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa and played in all three Test matches against the world champions.
Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson said: “Luke is a fantastic player and we feel really fortunate and happy to have secured him for the foreseeable future. Already it feels like a good match for him and for us, with the type of team we want to be on and off the pitch."
