Manchester City have bolstered their defense by signing Bristol City’s Naomi Layzell to a four-year contract. This move adds a promising new talent to their squad, signaling an exciting chapter for Layzell at the Etihad.

The 20-year-old Naomi Layzell, who was Bristol City's young player of the year last season, joins Manchester City after the Robins' relegation from the Women’s Super League (WSL).

An England Under-21 international, Layzell has already trained with the senior national team and impressed manager Sarina Wiegman. She described her move as "surreal" and expressed excitement about playing alongside top professionals.

Layzell is Manchester City's sixth signing this summer, joining Vivianne Miedema, Risa Shimizu, Aoba Fujino, Eve Annets, and Ayaka Yamashita, as City aims to build on their second-place finish in the WSL last season.
