Timothy Weah confirmed his move to Juventus from Lille.
Juventus is delighted to announce the completion of signing the United States forward Timothy Weah from Ligue 1 side Lille for an undisclosed fee.
Weah, who underwent his medicals on Thursday, will rock the No. 22 jersey next season after it was left for the taking in the wake of Angel Di Maria’s one-and-done tenure at Juventus.
The Brooklyn-born, Weah, who started his senior career at Paris St Germain, spent four seasons at Lille where he made more than 100 appearances, winning league titles with both teams.
He also won the league and cup double with Celtic when he was on loan at the Scottish side in the 2018-19 season.
During his time at Lille, he won the French championship in the 2020-21 season and the French Super Cup the following year.
While on international duty with the United States men’s national team, Weah almost exclusively plays much further up the field as a winger, with four goals to his name in 26 appearances.
