USA midfielder Tyler Adams confirmed his move to Bournemouth from Leeds United.
The Premier League club, AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce the completion of signing United States captain Tyler Adams from Leeds United in this summer transfer.
American midfielder Tyler Adams agreed with the terms and has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club.
The fee for the transfer is believed to be around 20 million pounds ($25.5 million).
The United States captain joined Leeds from RB Leipzig last year and played 24 Premier League games, picking up a hamstring injury in March which ended his season as the club finished 19th and were relegated to the second-tier Championship.
Adams has made more than 100 appearances for Leipzig and has won 36 international caps, leading the U.S. to the World Cup knockout stages last year.
The midfielder established himself as one of the Premier League’s top tacklers in the 2022-23 season.
Before joining Leeds, the 24-year-old spent three seasons in Germany with Leipzig, helping them reach the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League and winning the DFB-Pokal.
He started his career at New York Red Bulls in 2016 and in 2022 was named the US Soccer Player of the Year.
