Raducanu: Wimbledon Run Ignites My Motivation.

Britain's Emma Raducanu credits her inspiring Wimbledon performance for reigniting her motivation to excel for the remainder of the season.

Emma Raducanu, 21, faced a tough loss in the Wimbledon fourth round, falling 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 to New Zealand qualifier Lulu Sun on Sunday.

Despite the disappointment, Raducanu looked back positively on her performance after a string of strong showings at the All England Club.

"I feel good about things going forwards. I feel optimistic," Raducanu said, reflecting on reaching the fourth round of a major for the first time since her 2021 US Open victory. She is poised to climb back into the world's top 100 next week.

"As bitter as it is to take, I think [this defeat] happened for a reason. You don't want things to happen too easily and too quickly. I had that before. I don't necessarily want just a massive spike," she added.

Raducanu, who received a wildcard entry, acknowledged being outplayed in what she described as a captivating match.
