Ashwin's Masterclass: Century Sparks India’s Comeback vs Bangladesh.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s unbeaten century was nothing short of a masterclass, leading India’s spirited fightback from a shaky start against Bangladesh on day one of the first Test in Chennai.

Coming in when the top order had crumbled, Ashwin’s calm resilience turned the tide, steering India from trouble to a position of strength.

His precise strokes and measured approach frustrated the Bangladeshi bowlers, marking a performance that not only rescued India but set the tone for the rest of the match.

Ashwin’s unbeaten 102 on his home ground, his sixth Test century, lifted India from 144-6 to 339-6 by the end of the day. His crucial partnership with Ravindra Jadeja, adding 195 runs in 227 balls, turned the match in India’s favor after Bangladesh dominated early on.

India had a rough start, losing three quick wickets, including Virat Kohli for six, caught behind off Hasan Mahmud, who impressed with figures of 4-58.

Mahmud also dismissed captain Rohit Sharma for six and Shubman Gill for a duck, setting the tone for Bangladesh's early charge.
