Emma Raducanu of Great Britain advanced to the Korea Open quarter-finals with a straight-sets victory over China’s Yue Yuan.
Emma Raducanu, 21, dominated the match by winning six straight games to take the first set and gain control of the second.
The 2021 US Open champion, ranked 70th, needed seven match points to secure a 6-4, 6-3 victory, advancing to the quarter-finals in Seoul.
Raducanu will face top seed Daria Kasatkina next, after the Russian beat Hailey Baptiste 6-4, 6-2.
Reflecting on the upcoming match, Raducanu said, 'I have nothing to lose, and playing top-level opponents only boosts my confidence.'
