Japan's boxing hero, Naoya Inoue has produced one of the finest moments in Japanese sporting history as he stopped Liverpool's Paul Butler in the eleventh round and became the undisputed bantamweight champion of the world in half a century.

The hometown hero snatched Butler's WBO strap from him to add to his WBA, WBC and IBF world titles in the Ariake Arena to complete the set with a display full of defensive showmanship, as he overpowered his British rival to claim an 11th round TKO victory that sees 'The Monster' improve to 24-0.

'Monster' (Naoya Inoue) becomes the first undisputed bantamweight world champion since Panama's Enrique Pinder in 1972.

He also becomes only the ninth male undisputed world champion in boxing's four-belt era as well as the first ever from Asia and is also the first bantamweight fighter to hold all four recognized titles.
