Michael Conlan targeting to fight against Luis Alberto Lopez for the World title.

Michael Conlan is aiming to collide with IBF featherweight champion Luis Alberto Lopez for the World title in Belfast in late April or early May.

Luis Alberto Lopez traveled over to Leeds to pull off a twelve round decision over Josh Warrington to capture the IBF featherweight title.

Lopez is 27-2 and was on a three-fight knockout run (including a stoppage win against Isaac Lowe) before he went into Warrington's backyard and took his title.

On the same night over in Belfast, Michael Conlan bounced back from his knockout loss to Leigh Wood by picking up a first round demolition of Karim Guerfi. Conlan was undefeated until earlier this year, when he challenged Wood for the WBA "regular" title.
