Manchester United Ups Bid for Everton's Branthwaite.

Manchester United has upped their bid for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton recently turned down a £35 million offer from Manchester United for England international Jarrad Branthwaite.

Reports indicate United has now increased their bid to around £45 million, potentially including additional payments based on agreed targets. Despite this, sources suggest Everton's valuation remains unmet.

Branthwaite has been a standout left-sided central defender for Everton, notably aiding the club in avoiding relegation last season despite financial penalties.

Meanwhile, United is actively pursuing defensive reinforcements, with negotiations ongoing for Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt, currently starring for the Netherlands at Euro 2024.

Following Raphael Varane's departure, United's search intensifies, compounded by ongoing uncertainties regarding a contract renewal with veteran Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans.
