Djokovic Anticipates 'Fireworks' in Clash with Rune.

Novak Djokovic is eagerly anticipating a thrilling match as he prepares to face Holger Rune for a spot in the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Monday, predicting "fireworks on court."

Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, faces Holger Rune, 16 years his junior, in what promises to be a challenging match on Centre Court at Wimbledon. Despite the age gap, Djokovic respects Rune's skills and his affinity for grass courts.

"Rune's a spectacular player, no doubt. He loves the big stage, loves playing on grass. I think he's a very, very tricky opponent," acknowledged Djokovic, who is aiming for an eighth Wimbledon title and his record 25th Grand Slam overall.

"It's going to take my best tennis to win," he emphasized.

Despite their competitive history—Djokovic has won three of their five previous encounters, including their last two meetings on hard courts in 2023—the Serbian tennis star maintains a friendly rapport with Rune.

"I actually get along very well with [Rune]. He's a very nice guy, always has been to me and to my team, and vice versa," Djokovic shared.

Reflecting on their relationship, Djokovic mentioned, "I always try to be available to him for any practice or advice or guidance or anything like that."
