Celtic captain Callum McGregor has decided to retire from international football with Scotland.
Callum McGregor, who has earned 63 caps for Scotland and was a member of Steve Clarke's squad at Euro 2024, has announced his retirement from international football.
In a statement on Celtic's website, McGregor described the decision as 'very difficult' but 'the right one at the right time.' He revealed that he discussed his choice with national coach Clarke earlier this week.
Reflecting on his career, McGregor said, 'It has been a huge honor to achieve 63 caps. Just making one appearance would have been a dream come true.'
